Hey beautiful brides! My name is Jordan and I am one of the bridal consultants here at Tie The Knot Bridal. I have had the honor of helping brides find their dream dress for almost 2 years now, and am also newly married as of August 5th, 2023! Through my own experiences of shopping and working as a bridal consultant, I put together a list of advice for our future TTK off the rack brides!

Before Shopping: 

• Schedule an appointment- Here at TTK Off The Rack we always want to provide the best experience we can to our brides and their guests, one way we do that is by being by appointment only. This ensures that we have a consultant and room available for your personalized one on one appointment. We know that every bride who walks through our doors is different from the last so we have over 250 dresses on our floor and are with you every step of the way to finding the one that is meant to be yours!
• Bring the guests you want there for your yes moment- Make sure you are shopping with the special people in your life that you would want there when you find your dream dress. Everyone’s dream dress journey is different and every dress you put on will get you closer to finding the one. Even if it’s your first appointment, your yes moment can happen at any time. 
• Take time to check out our website- This can help you get a better idea of the diverse selection of dresses we have here at TTK Off The Rack and can also help your consultant know what you are picturing in your dream dress. You may even see some dresses you love and want to try on during your appointment!

Day Of Your Appointment:

• Come ready to find your dress- Your yes moment may happen when you least expect it, and as much fun as playing dress up is, you have to be ready to stop shopping and check it off your to do list if you find the one. We always tell our brides to find the dress that makes you feel beautiful, like a bride, and the best version of yourself! 
• Bring what you need to be comfortable- We require our brides to be wearing underwear while trying on our dresses. Some brides choose to wear their bras, shape-wear, or even shoes for their appointment. Whatever makes you feel comfortable!
• Don’t be afraid to eliminate/skip dresses- Every dress you are trying on is going to get you closer and closer to your dream dress. In order to stay on that path, don’t be afraid to skip a dress. Skipping some dresses that no longer fit your vision will save time in your appointment for trying on more dresses and even re-visit your favorite dresses at the end.

Finding The One:

• Shop in your budget- When our stock dresses go discontinued they come over to our Off The Rack location where brides get great deals on beautiful dresses. All of our dresses at OTR are under $2,500 with most sitting between $1,000- $2,000.
• Sizes at OTR- We have over 250 dresses ranging in sizes 6-30. When buying off the rack you want to be shopping in your size or a little above. A seamstress can always make a dress smaller but making a dress bigger is a little more tricky.
• Starting alterations- Not sure where to go for alterations? We got you covered! We have local seamstresses we highly recommend for all our brides to use! After your yes moment your stylist will go over the alterations needed for your dress to fit you perfectly. The most common alterations needed are a hem and bustle, and taking in the dress through the side-seams where needed!
